What is it?
Why does this event exist?
This event — previously known as The Founders Den — was a bold idea born in 2021, just after the disruptions of the Covid-19 pandemic. At the time, South Africa’s startup and innovation ecosystem felt fragmented. Founders, builders, and visionaries were often left navigating their journeys alone, without the network or support they needed to truly succeed.
Our team at Specno is driven by a passion to accelerate digital innovation, build bridges for partnerships that might not form elsewhere, and foster a culture where large businesses can seamlessly collaborate with visionary entrepreneurs.
What started as a gathering for early-stage founders has evolved into a room filled with bold thinkers, creative builders, and industry leaders.

What to expect.

Elevator pitches are welcome, but pitching only happens if investors are interested in you and want to connect after the event. It’s a place to mingle, not to hard sell.
